The difference between stainless steel cold-rolled sheet and hot-rolled sheet
Cold-rolled sheet is the difference from "hot-rolled sheet". That is, the temperature, strength and cost of hot-rolled steel sheets are different. The components and elements of the two are basically the same.
The biggest difference between stainless steel plates is that 13% of chromium (Cr) elements or even nickel elements are added during steelmaking (such as standard 304 stainless steel, containing 18% chromium and 9% nickel), so that it has the function of stainless.
Cold rolled steel will corrode quickly (in wind and rain). Must be painted on the outside to prevent rust.
Due to the high prices of chromium and nickel elements, the price of stainless steel is several times that of ordinary cold-rolled steel.
1. Due to a certain degree of work hardening, cold-rolled steel sheets have low toughness and are more expensive;
2. The cold-rolled surface has no oxide scale, and the quality is good;
3. The product made by cold deformation has high dimensional accuracy and good surface quality;
4. Cold rolling is widely used in all walks of life due to its production process, such as all kinds of cold stamping parts, cold rolled cold extrusion profiles, cold coil springs, cold drawn wires, cold heading bolts, etc. Hot rolling: It is relative to cold rolling. In other words, cold rolling is rolling below the recrystallization temperature, while hot rolling is rolling above the recrystallization temperature. Its characteristics: 1. Poor toughness and surface flatness, low price; 2. Hot rolling The temperature of the hot plate is similar to the forging temperature; 3. The hot plate is processed by hot rolling with oxide skin on the surface, and the thickness of the plate is different; 5. The mechanical properties of hot-rolled steel sheets are far inferior to those of cold-working and forging, but they have better toughness and ductility. The difference between hot-rolled and cold-rolled stainless steel is that cold-rolling is rolled on the basis of hot-rolling.
