Mirror stainless steel is achieved by using a polishing liquid and a polishing device to smooth the surface of the stainless steel sheet, creating a mirror-like clear finish.
It comes in various forms with a metallic luster, corrosion resistance, and high toughness. Its reflective surface creates projections of surrounding objects, rendering them in an ethereal manner and reflecting real content.
Among mirror materials, mirror stainless steel is the most well-known and is often used for thinner cold-rolled stainless steel sheets.

- Brightness levels of mirror stainless steel
Common mirror stainless steel comes in four grades: 6K, 8K, 10K, and 12K. An 8K mirror stainless steel achieves the smoothness of an ordinary mirror, while 6K has some brightness but does not reach the level of mirror stainless steel.
The best results are seen in 10K and 12K mirror stainless steel, with the 12K version being flawless and highly polished, without grinding marks or scratches, resulting in higher production costs and prices.
Apart from mirror surfaces, common surface treatments for stainless steel used in interiors and building exteriors include drawing, sandblasting, titanium plating, etching, and anti-fingerprint treatment.
- Thickness of mirror stainless steel
The thickness of 8K/12K mirror stainless steel panels ranges from 0.3 to 100mm. Thicker panels are more challenging to maintain a mirror effect, and processing costs increase accordingly.
Mirror stainless steel is relatively thin and might slightly deform when used in flat applications but performs well on curved surfaces, offering high stability and hardness. Compared to other mirror materials, it exhibits better wear resistance and is easier to clean.
