Global crude stainless steel production fell about 5.1 percent in the first three quarters of 2022

World crude stainless steel production for the first three quarters of 2022 is 41.852 million tonnes, about 5.1 per cent lower than the same period last year, according to data released by the World Stainless Association. Look at several major regions, each region has a different degree of decline: Europe decreased by about 11.2% to 4.809 million tons, the US decreased by about 13.2% to 1.589 million tons, the Chinese mainland decreased by about 5.2% to 23.635 million tons, and Asia excluding the Chinese mainland, South Korea, Indonesia (mainly India, Japan and Taiwan) decreased by about 0.4% to 5.746 million tons. Other regions (including Indonesia, South Korea, South Africa, Brazil, Russia) fell about 1.0% to 6.074 million tonnes.
